Sacred Contract is a declaration, process, and legal pathway that supports a foundational paradigm shift in humanity’s relationship with nature. We believe that we must rekindle a practical and ethical relationship with the very lands we live and work on.

A fundamental shift in our cosmological and legal relationship with the earth in which we emancipate ourselves and the earth from an ownership relationship to a sacred relationship.
Our Vision
A world where humans live in kinship with all life and where nature is a stakeholder in legal agreements, ensuring regenerative systems and a thriving, abundant earth.
Our Approach
The shift in our relationship to nature requires that humanity as a whole embodies its interconnectedness and practices of reciprocity with nature.
We know and believe that the land and its ecosystems have an intrinsic right to flourish, regenerate through the fulfillment of their own natural cycles, and hold agency over their resources and relationships.
To uphold the rights of the lands with which we work, Sacred Contract has created pathways that allow for multicultural guardianship councils to - in perpetuity - support and protect their intrinsic right to thrive.
We work within a region to initiate and support a rights of nature based land tenure model that can scale to meet the growing needs of our ecosystems and communities. We support a proven legal pathway along with a culturally relevant governance process which together create a pragmatic and visionary way for regional guardians to protect the rights of nature.
We start with community leaders who understand the intersectionality of issues related to land tenure within the poly crisis.
